THE FLIGHT OF THE EAGLES IN THE HEART OF THE CITY: FATTORE CAMPO STOPS IN CATANZARO
BKT has left its mark once again. It was a day of celebration for the Galliano and Materdomini neighborhoods, in the popular heart of Catanzaro, where the Title Sponsor of Serie BKT inaugurated the fifth winning project of Fattore Campo, the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative aimed at donating new playgrounds and gathering spaces in the cities of Serie BKT.
HOW FATTORE CAMPO WORKS
During each Serie BKT season, fans have the opportunity to play a parallel championship to the one played by their favorite team through the contest BKT Premia. In addition to numerous prizes such as official jerseys and balls, the more you play, the more points you accumulate for the special ranking that at the end of the year determines the winning teams: at stake is a project to renovate a playground in an area of the city that particularly needs it.
Last season, Catanzaro fans showed all their attachment to the team and their city, driving not only the team to a great season on the field but also to great success off the field, giving their fellow citizens a moment of celebration and a safe space for children and young people in the area to play according to the rules and experience moments of socialization and community.
A NEW MULTIPURPOSE SPACE FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Fattore Campo has handed back to the Calabrian city, completely renovated, the field adjacent to the “Galati” school complex, intended for soccer and volleyball. The work involved the complete asphalting and resin coating of the field, but there was also an artistic touch, thanks to local artists Sonny Procopio and Claudio Chiaravalloti.
Helped by the students of the institute, the two artists decorated the walls adjacent to the field and the stands with a work depicting two icons of Catanzaro soccer: Massimo Palanca, a giallorossi legend between the 70s and 80s, with 350 games and 120 goals, and Pietro Iemmello, the current captain, who returned to play in his city in 2022 and has already scored over sixty goals, as well as being a true leader of the eagles both in the promotion to Serie BKT and in the last two surprising seasons in the cadet championship.
School and social activities, connection between citizens and their sports idols, fun and community: values perfectly in line with the goals and identity of Balkrishna Industries Ltd, known by the BKT brand, which has been supporting communities and sports for years, promoting a healthy, balanced life and positive change.
THE INAUGURATION: A DAY OF SOCCER AND CONVIVIALITY
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the field was opened to the “Galati” children for a passionate soccer match, directed by Iemmello and his teammates from Catanzaro, protagonists of the festive delivery of BKT balls and gadgets, with autographs and photos.

In the eyes of the children, there was the happiness of being able to play in a space designed for them, and in the faces of the adults, there was the pride of a united community. Days like this give meaning to everything we do as sponsors in the world of sports. It’s not just about inaugurating a field but sharing real emotions and creating bonds, leaving a permanent mark in the communities.”
These are the words of Lucia Salmaso, Managing Director of BKT Europe, present at the ceremony along with the president of the Lega Nazionale Serie B, Paolo Bedin, and Edoardo Alzetta, Head of Sports at Havas Play, the agency that accompanies BKT’s journey in the world of sports and has been collaborating with Lega B for years in the realization of Fattore Campo and all other activities of the Title Sponsor of Serie BKT.
Alongside them, some important institutions from Catanzaro also demonstrated the great involvement of the community around this project, such as the Sports Councillor Antonio Battaglia, the Public Works Councillor Pasquale Squillace, and Giusy Emma, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Catanzaro, the General Director of U.S. Catanzaro Paolo Morganti, as well as the comedian Ivan Colacino, exceptional moderator of the day, known in the city for his “split” commentaries that are very popular on social media.
The next stop of Fattore Campo will be Bari, where BKT will renovate a field at Redentore, a key area of the city. It will be the sixth project inaugurated by BKT’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, which in the last three years has already donated playgrounds to the cities of Lecce (link), Cosenza (link), Como, and Palermo.
